Just in time for Summer.
For sale... Less than a year old 5x8 teardrop trailer. I built this trailer last winter for my trip up to Alaska. The frame is an old cargo enclosed box type trailer. I stripped the box off and built it from the frame up.
The floor is 5/8 inch plywood with 1inch insulation sandwiched with another 5/8 in sheet of plywood. The walls are 5/8 in Plywood with an inch of foam insulation sandwiched by an interior sheet of 1/4 in birch wood. The ceiling is 1/8 in birch wood interior with 1 inch insulation then 3/16 inch Eucalyptus Tempered Hardboard. The whole exterior is skinned with .036 in Aluminum. The interior is 4.5 feet wide x 7 feet long and has a 12v fan to pull or push air into the interior. The rear opens up into a galley complete with 2 led lights and fuse box/12v--120 shore power converter. The interior, galley and exterior flood lights are all LED and run off of the 12 volt battery. Then when you go to a RV park or have a converter the trailer can be plugged into 120 power to run regular household 2 prong appliances. The tires are studded and have plenty of life still to them. The underside is fully sealed with Rhinoline spray. The interior floor is just bare plywood right now, it is sanded but carpet or a full mattress would be advised. This trailer is about 95% complete. As mentioned the interior floor and galley gas struts would be recommended to finish off this project. I am looking to sell it for around $4500. Let me know if you have any questions or need more pictures.
