WD21: 1st gen
R50: 2nd gen
R51: 3rd gen

That's fine. Use what you know

But I am on 3 different Pathfinder/Nissan sites, and I don't seem them referred to as "hey I have a first gen pathy", or whatever. 9 out of 10 times they refer to them as just a WD21, R50, etc. Or they state "....well on the second gen pathys....". Due to the differences in each series of trucks.

I do see that is how someone wrote it on wiki (first/second/third gen), so I can see how some people refer to them that way. Is all good. As long as it works for you
