Tell me about your rattles...Gen 3

I know I will never be able to get rid of all the rattles but I feel as though a truck that drives as good as mine shouldn't rattle so much!
Practically everything in the front end suspension has been replaced and I still have a lid on a pot sounding rattle in my driver side front area. Random noises that come and go from the rear door area. If anyone has any ideas on specific things to check im all ears.

I have a lot of dash rattles and one horrible squeak from the rear end when brakes are applied. Sounds like a donkey.

You probably need to share more details. It's not normal. Mine doesn't have those issues with lots of off road miles.

Front cv axles, tie rod ends, ball joints, bar links, rotors, calipers, and pads replaced less than 10k miles ago. OME HD suspension installed about 8k miles ago. My front bumper seems a bit loose so some noise maybe coming from there. Nothing visibly loose in wheel well area, or under the truck. I did have the exhaust replaced about 1500 miles ago and I have a hanger I think needs to be re-welded as I get an occasional exhaust vibration when idling in drive. I noticed today I have a bolt missing on the driver side of my rear "wing" on top of the door. Perhaps my occasional thud in the rear is from this?

I've beat the hell out of mine and it does not have a single squeak nor rattle. "Lid on a pot" doesn't sound suspension related. Things that come to mind that might be loose: the front skid plate, a heat shield some place, an exhaust bracket, wheel well liner, the battery hold down, radiator mount or shroud.

Oh, and make sure some kid didn't put rocks in your hubcap. :sombrero:

As far as the front if I hit a pothole or something in the road with my front driver side wheel i have a terrible rattle like a bolt is loose and rattling, I have checked all the usual suspects. Going to take the truck in and have the suspension retightened this week and see if the truck shop notices anything unusual.

Check the shock mount bolts!! Your noise description is very familiar to me.

I had an occasional similar rattle on my Astro because one of the upper shock mounts was really hard to properly tighten, over time it started to make a "lid on a pot" (while boiling water) sound over bumpy roads, like the alley behind my house. I could hear it really well there with windows down because the speed was low and the fences bounced the sound back at me. Last time I changed shocks I had to manipulate the mount a bit so that it was a tighter fit. No problems since.
