Yeah I kind of wished I went with the Tango Down instead of the MASSIVE Big Agnes Dream Island 15. The exped megamat duo is no joke. We also use it when guests stay the night and they also make that same comment.

Best part is you can use them separately for solo trips, or attach them in the middle for a queen size bed.

The REI brand Dreamer is awesome. Much more support/firmer than the Exped, seems to be better made, and much cheaper. I've been using mine about six months now and love it. The included pump/pillow is very clever as well.

this is my choice.

a full size double mattress and 3 sleeping bags. layer for warmth.
no setup, park roll into bed.
rainy morning, roll out of bed, drive away.
I sleep better in here than I do at home.
often with both doors open.

We have a trailer for all of our camping stuff, so we bought two of these and put them together to make a queen. They're glorious.

Another one for the megamat duo... great piece of equipment

The grizzly double sleeping bags are very comfy as well... not the best when it gets really cold out, but very comfy bags under $200

If were in the pop up, king size bed. In the big tent Coleman aircot queen size. In the rei campdome 4, rei queen air mattress and sleeping bags.

Also use the Mega Mat singles webbed together to make a queen. Since my wife hates the confines of a sleeping bag, we use queen sheet set and a thick king size Hudson Bay wool blanket. Note we winter camp in Nordic teepees with wood stoves.

My wife and I use a 2" foam mattress topper that we cut to fit the shape of the interior of the Jeep. We usually just sleep in the Jeep, but we also use it in our tent and it's incredibly comfortable. We put a fitted sheet on each side of it to protect the cover.

We use a Sleepingo double sleeping bag in the car or in the tent. It's very inexpensive, and it's light enough that it packs small and it's still comfortable when it's warm out. Then if it's cold, we just add a blanket. It's so much better than using separate mummy bags.

I have 2 x Megamats that I can use for single or dual sleeping purposes. I love them; I wouldn't hand carry/pack on a trail due to size and weight but they are awesome for vehicle camping excursions.

I have one and I used it 2 nights last weekend...I wasnt impressed for how much I paid for it. When solo I sleep on a Singlis 3" airpad on a small cot and that is 100x more comfortable. I just couldnt get the right amount of cushion without hitting my trailer floor with my hip. If I pumped it up to not be hitting the ground it felt too firm...I will definitely give it a lot more use and testing but for my first impression - not impressed.

That’s weird tanto I’ve had the exact opposite experience with the expeds. I just let it self inflate no top off nice and cushy and still keeps my side sleeping rotund body/hip off the ground. I’ve never found another pad I could do that with but everyone is different and that’s why so many options exist.

There’s no doubt you can get an exped super firm that’s for sure and finding the sweet spot is trial and error.
