Tent storage for winter

It was time to take the tent off the back of the truck and put it away. Last year's method of putting it by the wall in the living room did not meet with complete approval by my wife. :yikes:

This year is a little different. At home depot picked up 4 of these folding brackets. They screw into the wall, 2 of them support 125 pounds and by pulling upwards on the horizontal portion, they fold almost flat against the wall when not needed. I used 4 brackets, 'cause 4 is stronger than 2.:REExeSquatsHL1:

What you said about leaning the tent against the wall in the living room, that is more than likely what I will be doing with my Maggiolina AirLand.

Did anyone ever left them outside? I mean i don't feel like removing the RTT from the M101. And would just leave the trailer and tent outside for freezing Canada temperature. Obviously i could put a tarp over.

Nice find - guess what I'm getting tomorrow!
It is time to get organized in the garage for all the stuff for the rig - chains, recovery, tents, etc...... Need to keep it all handy, but not exposed on the truck all winter.

Great idea and if you don't mind me suggesting adding a shelf plank over the brackets to spread the weight a bit better and to avoid the pinch points.
Very cool though...

Mine have spent two winters outside thusfar. We get rather heavy snowfall, so better safe than sorry I covered the trailer/tent with a tarp. Come spring it was AOK.

Great idea with the brackets. I don't have anyone to help me though and I would think that would be very hard to do alone. I am fortunate that my Jeep fits in the garage with the tent mounted and have one of those pulley systems that make removal a one man job. I just leave it hanging over the Jeep all winter. (this year I think winter will be around till June)
