Tent with shell

Here is something that might work. You attach the truck and topper to the tent and make it one open area. I have been looking of the same thing, but perfer to have a open floor changing room since I plan to sleep in the bed of the truck, and cooking/playing cards/standing in the tent.

In hot summer months, I'll often leave the tailgate and/or topper glass lid open, and cover the gap with a large mosquito net. If it's not hot, it's always closed up with the side mesh windows open to a degree.

I have more than a few regular tents and I use them regularly when backpacking (personally I'm a bivy sack guy actually). The truck is warmer, cleaner, more comfortable, more stealthy, and we can pack up and go in mere minutes. Finding a level spot in the leftover space after you park the truck is often a problem too.
