There are some people who are allways helping others and dont ask for anything in return and John is one of them and deserves a big thank you. I have just taken the canter across the simpson desert as a suport truck for 6 trail bike riders and to get over the dunes i turned the chip up so it would pull all that fuel and luggage oves the 1300 sand dunes and it did with ease only getting bogged once and after trying again over it went. To cut a long story short just out of Alice springs my dad who was driving at the time heard a load rush of air and lost power. So we took it easy into alice and rang Nrma who sent out some clown who couldnt find what was wrong and said take it to a mechanic tomorrow. I decided to try ATW in Qld and john took the call and said it sounds like a turbo hose and when you turn the chips up thats has been known to happen i looked and thought they looked tight but john gave me the name and number of a mate in Alice who was a retired mechanic. To cut a long story short i rang him and he said bring it around at 7 in the morning for him to have a look. I did just that and half hour later after we took the drivers seat out the offending hose was visable and i was on my way he refused to take money but i demanded he take atleast $50. I know it sounds silly but the help you get on the road sometimes is worth a $100000 So a big thank you to John and your mate in Alice you both are true Gentlemen who i cant thank you enough Cheers Tony
