The Box Tent Popup camper Super Light, Super Simple $1750?.

Here is my Craigslist listing for THE BOX TENT. Yes indeed, some of the images are stolen from the net (including here!) but they are to illustrate the design and the ad is clear that the first and last two are actual pics of the camper. (apologies and thanks for the pilfered pics!)

There are 2 things wrong:
It is missing one snap on the vinyl on the back (opposite the door)- simple replacement, just can't find my snap rivet tool, probably 2 bucks at Hobby Lobby).

There is a tear on a vinyl flap that holds a snap by the door - NOT anywhere that the rain would touch, just needs stitched shut.
1/2 hour and I could have both fixed, just need to find the time....

It also comes with a pair of portable camper jacks, but if you have a couple of friends, you won't need them.

I can do a video or FaceTime for anyone seriously interested.

This is the smaller version that fits in a S10 or other mini truck and my guess on the weight is 300#.

It has seen little use because my wife has indoor plumbing and prefers her campers to have the same ;-) :Wow1:

Hmmm....not too far from me either. Looks cool and would be awesome on a utility trailer.

Sold it today to a guy with an M416 trailer. It fit in there like the trailer had been used as the mold for the camper - really cool.

Thanks for your interest.

I wonder if it was this guy!? I just saw this on my way home from work, and thought it was cool, so snapped a photo. Looks like a cool setup.

It was indeed!!! I took pictures, but couldn't smudge his license plates, so I didn't post them. I took a little less than I wanted for it, just because of the cool factor, worth every penny!

Welp ! That's ME ! hehehehe....And I'm a "member" on this forum too. Hysterical ! Yep.....I snapped up the unit. I mainly wanted it for my truck. But when we went over the dimensions, I was like hmmmmmm......that just may fit the M416. It did like that's what it was made for. It towed fine. I've opened it up to check how that goes, and am playing with it's tow-ability off road as far as weight being an anchor and C.O.G. I think it will handle most trails up to the moderate or a little more categories. The big thing will be the COG factor. I had my trailer higher, but lowered back to stock after a roll over that was COG related (along with a perfect storm of other factors). I've seen lots of trailer roll pic's and study them trying to find that happy medium. BIG THING TO NOTE HERE! This works in MY M416 because it has a custom made tailgate, which is criticle to opening the door on the tent.I may take this out to OX 14 next year. [[This.....or my 82 Eagle Sx4 with it's two speed transfer case from an 84 Wagoneer, 92 jeep Cherokee rear axle with and locker, and a cool flip up camper that weighs 400 pounds ]]

Looks great Etoyoc, can't wait to see it when we get out to Colorado in a couple days. Will you be bringing it to Black Bear?
