Well I finally did it, I bought the seat of all child seats. Full-on off-road adventure, overland expedition grade!
I've had my eye on it for a long time and after spending an exhausting last Saturday trying to choose an off-the shelf seat I decided the extra couple bucks is worth the absolute top quality. Besides, it will last for years and protect precious team members while exploring!
The Recaro Youth Sport, yes made by the same Recaro racing seat company!

You don't need to have kids to appreciate this awesome padded cocoon. Complete with hip bolsters, kidney bolsters, shoulder bolsters and full side head protection!! They even crash test these things for side impact. I wish I had a big version of this for my drivers seat!

What better way to treat my backseat navigator! :rally_guys:

Looks awesome!

Now spend some time and get it firmly secured in the rear seat. Hook the upper center anchor point first. Put a knee in the seat and attach the belt. No more than 1/2" movement.
It takes some effort, but as you well know, it is all worth it.

Very cool.

I was thinking there was a built in DVD or some cup holders;)

I've heard some people say that as many as 9 out of 10 carseats are installed wrong:confused:

hey i have that exact same sit-n-spin! two of them actually. ones just plain wore out. and the little fly around the world globe, and the same brand different design play mat too.

i dont think his year of disco has LATCH. you just have to strap it in tight.

We had a great little road trip this weekend with the seat. Very secure and comfortable, No complaints and plenty of nap time!

You're correct, no LATCH in the 2001 but no worries, I can get the 3-point to hold pretty tight!
