1,500 rolls

Loved the part of the guy with 1,500 rolls. I was surprised they had enough chemistry for it!

I cannot imagine dropping $15k on developing! And makes you wonder where he's been storing all the rolls, and why!?

Good Stuff!

Back in the day I tried 'em all,Ektachrome, Anscochrome, Agfachrome, etc., before finally deciding to shoot only Kodachrome and to only have it developed by Kodak. Recently finished scanning a few thousand slides covering some thirty years. Looking at the results, I should have settled on Kodachrome from the beginning - brighter colors with less fading, better detail, etc. As a rule, it was really easy to scan the slide and get good results.

On the other hand, I can't see the point of programs/filters to make digital images look like Kodachrome. I don't have that much nostalgia.

The end of an era for sure. Slide film was all I shot for many years; still slowly digitizing them. I used to like Ektachrome more than Kodachrome because it did better greens and blues for scenery I thought, but scanning them now, they have faded worse than the Kodachrome slides. Fujichrome was good film too.
