I like those UTE beds, can configure them differently depending on the use.

Fold down sides, with bows and a canvas top, would be nice to have.

I love the 1st Gen trucks. I'm on the hunt for one (maybe two) for my two older boys that will be driving in the next few years. We have plans to build them each one for some good family adventures.

That means the bed would cost more than I have in my truck plus the suspension upgrade. There's absolutely no way I could justify that much, but my bed is virtually rust free along with the rest of the truck so I won't be replacing anything anytime soon. And if I did have to the only option sensible to me is Toyotafiberglass. I would have the high clearance fenders with no flare and a bed to match. Then I'd run 35s with a 2" lift and never ever rub! :)

My front springs should be here around Thursday or Friday. And I get paid either of those two days also and I'm gonna order a little more.

I remember building baja bugs with my dad, including the one that became my first car. Priceless.

Thanks for the price on those beds! I agree a little expensive for this old truck, but very cool! If I still had my Tundra I'd definitely consider it! I'll probably wait for a flat bed, but I will take off the bed when I install the OME, I'll take lots of measurements and pictures while it's off and throw it all in a CAD program, just to see.

One question for you all. Anyone know the diameter of the OME springs eyelets, where the bushings go? Do I have to purchase OME bushing or can I use stock size bushing just new? OME bushing are pricey compared to replacement stock bushings. Thanks.

Looks good! Usually those retainers are spaced out one front one rear. Could you take a picture of you measuring the eyelet diameter?

Derek24: Sorry I couldn't get a picture of the measuring tape. Me and stolenheron tried several times but it was impossible. From inside to inside of the metal bushing pressed into the eye of the leaf it's 1 1/8 inch. Hope that helps.
