The G9 is Dead. Long live the... (ideas?)

As some may remember, I stupidly crunched my beloved G9 a couple weeks ago. I have been looking for another as I have a Lensmate and Underwater case for a G9, but the prices are UNREAL. So, if I must spend those kinds of dollars, what else might I look at? I am no pro - usually left the G9 on AUTO ISO and no program with a polarizing lens on the lensmate. I love the high quality of images and the ability to blow them up if wanted. The idea of growing into a camera beyond my humble needs is attractive as well.

So, I'm considering the new line of E.V.I.L. gear - Sony or Lumix etc. Anyone have ideas on this? Something else to look at perhaps?

Im sorry to hear about your G9, I really love mine. I was wondering if you wanted to part with your charger, maybe the battery for the camera you cant use now? I seem to have had the gremlins in my house hide mine after the last charge. Or was it my dogs, they seem to get annoyed with my pictures slowing down the hikes....

I have heard that the G11 is quite nice. It has nice features and less MP than the G10, which was overkill IMO. You will pay for it though.

Check with B&H to see if they have a used G9.
