The Greatest Expedition Video of all time

Here is more info on http://www.firstoverland.com/.

There was video offered by the BBC but I cannot find it.

The guys over on http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/index.php have talked about it before.

I bought the video a few months ago. At the time all they had was PAL as they were working out some glitches with the ntsc version. My DVD plays all so I was able to get a copy early on. I have watched the progress of the video on the Series 1 list for quite some time.
Well worth the purchase of the DVD.

Where did you buy this video and how long is it? Do you have a web link.

Thanks,
Ed

Truely an epic adventure considering the obstacles and limitations of what equipment was available.

Could it be done again today?

Possibly if Iraq and Afghanistan were avoided. Iran is still passable via Turkey into Pakistan, not sure about Burma though.

Awesome video. What they did was the real deal vs what we call expedition trips these days. They're some amazing folks!

What my wife and I found really interesting was that there were three guys to each 88 LR, and they didn't appear to have a whole lot of gear. We seem to take more just for a week long excursion than they did for a 4-5 month expedition. Truely amazing...thanks for posting.

You must not be on a budget... :peepwall:

I've been on week long motorcycle trips. The only thing I would have to buy along the way was food to cook.

Now lets just see if I can do the same with my week long trip to Mexico WITH my wife.:xxrotflma Atleast I wont be needing to bring cooking equipment... I don't think.

Outstanding video!
What an adventure they had!
I'd love to get that on a DVD.

very enjoyable...

Between those six overlanders and the lads from liverpool (the Beatles), its hard to be original.

What a great video! I hope they got a commision for selling 500 land rovers....

Truly awesome

LOL! I was thinking that and also what a great investment...donate 2 Rovers....sell 500! (Or more...can't say how many folks bought Rovers as a result of the video).
Excellent return on investment!

It's so sad because that is so true. Great video.
