Boston Mangler said:The center cap on the far left wheel is from an 80 series steelie, doesnt quite fit. I am in the process of trying to track down some for these wheels right now
hks3sgte said:There are 100 series-specific center caps available.

upcruiser said:Question, how tough were the torsion bar replacements to do? I need to tackle them soon on one of my cars and I heard the job is a killer. Curious to hear what the process is like on the hundy.

Funny you should ask, i have heard the same thing and since i was in the middle of re-gearing an 80 for a friend and didnt want the "Sanford and Son" thing going on in my driveway, i had a local cruisershop do it.

Tom B said:I did not pay much attention to the plentiful N74L threads over on ih8mud, but I think there are some additional considerations with this shock (experts feel free to jump in and correct me). Are you going retain the top (pain) and bottom of the springs? With the taller 863 spring you need to retain the bottom, and I believe with the shorter 864 you would need to retain both the top and bottom. Also, I'm not sure if you need to lengthen your swaybar links to actually use the extra travel, and I think will have to lower you bump stops even with 33's so you don't damage the shock on the compression stroke.
I ended up skipping N74L because I thought I would eventually work my way from the 863's to 864's w/ spacers and I did not to want to go through the hassle of retaining the 864's.
