Why not the 868s?

Not sure of the specs on these, have any info?

I have spoke with a few folks running fully loaded 100's and they recommended the 864's

I ran 864's and airbags in my 80, but will NOT be running air bags in the hundred.

Paul May from Equipt is running a VERY similar load to what i will be running and he went to 864's and is very happy.

I've always wondered why my measly little 4Runner has six lugs.........

And a Massive Land Cruiser has 5 lugs.

One of life's mysteries!

The new Tundra and 78 series LC's have the same 5 lug bolt pattern too. Toyota didn't want people interchanging lighter duty 6 lug wheels on the heavier duty vehicles.

from brian894x4.com

"Front coil springs, longer rear springs and rear disk brakes
are some of the upgrades added in 1999 by Toyota. Also note
the 5 lugs. Toyota switched from 6 to 5 lugs, supposedly to
prevent accidently installing the prior generation wheels,
which limited the turning radius.
