Here's a handful of awful iphone pics I took (click for larger versions). For the most part, I was too busy admiring everything to take pics, though. :D

Jeep FC concept. I have no practical use for one, but man, do I want one! :)

And this is pretty much my (somewhat attainable) dream overlanding rig:

This old Merc was too cool. Obviously it was in perfect, beautiful condition, and then with a modern AMG V8... pure class and modern performance. My favorite combo.

And then the turbo setup on this older Porsche had the front of my pants getting a little tight. ;)

Also, as noted before - VisionX is no longer the only player in the LED light bar market. There were at least 4 or 5 other (Chinese) players, so maybe we'll start to see the prices on them drop before too long. SO many of the show vehicles had them mounted - they're definitely the latest "fad".

That, and two-tone paint jobs using both matte and glossy paint - there were some great looking sport cars/hot rods sporting this style.

After looking at ALL the lights on display at SEMA, the only ones I'd spend my money on were the Baja Designs and the Rigid Industries. All the others cheaped out on either material specifications in many places, or had fake features where they copied the look of an engineered part, but didn't get the engineering right.

I took a lot of detail shots for my work (road racing suspension parts) and some for my personal interest, bad-road travel.

Not a lot of whole car shots here. For some reason I really liked the Expedicion de las Americas Jeep.

That Jeep that drove the Darien Gap is super cool. I totally dislike Jeeps but to see that thing in it's original condition, un-restored, un-refurbished with all it's battle scars is just super cool.
