Very interesting article on a new breed of lighter than air-craft. Right now the money behind the programs is coming from the military, but there is huge potential for reducing pollution, reducing cargo freight costs, reducing number of runways, etc.

There is one ring in the San Francisco area doing tours. High price, but neat idea.
My father and I took the tour over the City last spring in the Zepplin NT. It is a well thought out design and enjoyable ride! Great technology. My 90yr young father has been into the Lighter-Than-Air idea all his adult life.

I read the whole article. It would be very cool to look up and see airships instead of contrails..

Didn't I just read this article 5 years ago? And 10 years ago? And 15, 20, 25, etc? It seems like the same stuff keeps getting brought up over and over.
