Gauge Idea for Console
Sorry to jump in, but since I did a good bit of work on my interior over the last couple of years I had the same challenge adding some instruments as well for my rebuilt 4.0.
I ended up creating a mounting plate on the console just forward of the transfer case shifter that would accomidate two 2" 1/16 mechanical gauges, so I put in a mechanical oil pressure and my other choice was a vacuum gauge. Everything else can be read off the OBDII if you want. I used an adapter plate between the timing cover and oil fiter to attach the pickup.
Just an idea.

Well, just so things arent left open-ended I thought I'd explain that this got put back to stock. The green 5spd got all the goodies and I finally sold it a few weeks ago. This is getting traded in on a truck and the scout is going to get more attention. I had a blast meeting other rover guys and wheeling the discos.
