Back in October I attempted the Pony Express starting in Salt Lake City with my buddy AJ, the dust did a serious number on his JL forcing us to end early. This video is that adventure.

The one thing that can help immensely with that diesel is to knock out the bung. That way you will not have that filling issue. Plus, you can use any diesel nozzle for cars or commercial trucks.

I also highly recommend you read Tom Sheppards books for overland knowledge and planning. It specifically mentions how to plan for mileage and how much fuel to carry.

I get the sentiment but if two pieces, then imagine how much better the stories. Luckily I have always returned home in one piece but I have had pieces missing, bruises, internal burns/bleeding, etc and those stories have ranged from hilarious to over the top.
