If I were to make any more modifications to my Tacoma and Fleet it would be:

1) Install flatbed
2) Install some 4 or 6ft Pro-Tech toolboxes under the Fleet's 'wings'
3) Upgrade front brakes with OEM-spec aftermarket rotors and pads (no change to calipers) and improved OEM-spec drums and shoes in the back.
4) Sipe my Firestone M/T tires or buy some better tires (not that my Destinations are bad...they're great but there are more universal tires out there).

Hi everybody! I am back, and Hadley has her new backpack!

The FWC is amazing, I am so happy with it. I am so very pleased.

I will work on posting some photos and facts, but I am exhausted and things have pilled up the last two days, so bear with me.

Fuel Economy

Fuel Economy

I paid very close attention to the ScanGauge on the way down and on the way back, as I figured this was my main shot at comparing fuel economy with the FWC on and off the truck. Both days had light winds and I tried to drive as consistent as possible.

Empty truck:
Backroads, 50-60 mph, 21 mpg
Interstate, 65-70, 18 mpg

Truck with FWC:
Backroads, 50-60 mph 20 mpg
Interstate, 65 mph 17-17.5 mpg

So by slowing down by a couple mph on the interstate I only lost 1 mpg, or less.

I am very happy with these results.

I am sure that going into a stiff headwind the mpg will drop significantly, but I am planning on a small wind fairing on the front to help with that.

First night out.

Stopped at a rest stop for the night. Decided that I was going to pop the top, I did not want the first night to be in stealth mode. Ended up having a hard time getting to sleep as I kept going outside to admire my camper.
