Theftproof pickup with soft top

I have a Land Rover Defender Hi Capacity pickup with a canvas soft top. I'm looking for ideas how to secure the items in the back a bit better.
I have things like a fridge and storage boxes I'm trying to protect. I realize no system is ever theft proof but I want to make it a bit more difficult than it is at the moment.
This is not a full-time camper either so I don't want to install something too permanent.

How are other people dealing with this?

Soft top and security in the same sentence.....mmmm the only thing i could think of was a trunk monkey:)

How about adding a mesh steel liner to inside the sof top mounting rails, more than that it and it would be a steel frame and aluminum skin box a bit like the electricity board box's

Might be an idea... Something like this

More realistically I'm looking at some storage boxes I can lock down or similar. Perhaps build a box around the fridge as well.
Been looking at the various drawer treads. Perhaps a slide for the storage boxes with a floor over. I can dump other less stealable stuff on top.

I think the drawers are going to be your best bet. I typically run a Softopper on the bed of my truck so I have the same challenge. I am going to do a locking drawer system in our latest truck. I am figuring the locked drawers along with the tailgate locked to limit access to the drawers will be about as secure as an open bed can be.
