No relation. The same dealer has this and the 99 E450 command center. I would like to get this add a TC box, do a DIY camper and then send to UJOR to convert to 4x4 and SRW. The black spray paint worries me, should it? They painted the tail pipe, but looks like they missed under the gas tank. I'm not sure what I am looking at, so any help appreciated. Looks like it has a finished sticker which I know is nice. Can I bolt a TC box directly to the frame like the transit?

e350/450 frames are pretty stiff, but youd need to do either a big poly bushing or spring mounts. Particularly for with a TC BOX, they wont tolerate being torqued continuously. For that set up, you'd really need a subframe that allows for flex.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I was thinking, but didn’t want it to be so. Does anyone have recommendations of a shop that could build a subframe in the Midwest. I’m in Western Michigan (lower peninsula).

I didn’t, and now it is sold. I talked to the guy once about it and I was hoping to get it cheaper especially after looking at the haphazard spray paint job the “detailer” did (at least in photos) I live in Michigan and rust worries me. Although this dealer is south about 8 hours. Now, I’m kicking myself. Plus I wanted to checkout the command center he has that I posted as well, even if it was just a mobile ski house and summer RV.

I also want to check this out7.3 diesel 300k miles it is only an hour from my house.

I am in Grand Rapids and have done a 4x4 swap to a sportsmobile before. DO NOT do a 4x4 onto a cut away then add a box. You will lose money 100% for sure. You cant get insurance on it (to fully cover if it is in an accident). You are much much better off adding 4x4 to an RV that has a loan value NADA already. Anyone who buys your van OR insurance companies want to know the value based on NADA. I did a 4x4 ambulance last and that was super heavy duty and very well made.
