threw some cookie cutters on the Jeep yesterday

Well, I picked up a set of 33x9.50 BFG A/T's a few weeks ago to throw on the Jeep in hopes of getting some power and mpg back for camping and fishing, so yesterday I swapped them out with my 35x12.50's and even my wife thinks they look a bit weird. I will post pictures up later today, but if I can pick up 1.5-2 mpg it will be worth it.

Just kidding, sometimes smaller tires can be a good choice when it means better MPG and less wear and tear.

Hey man, I like pizza cutters. Adds an older look to vehicles I think. I'd like something skinnier for my truck eventually. I'm currently running 33x10.50's

Depending on your wheeling style tall and skinny can be an advantage. 33's arent really 'tall' but still, they're taller than stock. I think I've seen some swampers in 34.5x9.5?

I, for one, am looking forward to the pics! It's also going to depend on the wheels you have though, haha.

Awsome bud, I always thought 9.5's were to much of a stretch..maybe unless you had a wider stance/low back spacing. But I always thought they would make the jeep feel tippy..Let us know your report!

Yeah... I can't wait to see how they look. I will go pick up my 33x9.50s sunday.... Must be a trend or something? haha! But mine were only 150 bucks and nearly new. :)

During my brief hiatus from the jeep world, with a 97 Land Rover discovery, I was converted from the wide tire side of the debate to tall and narrow. I doubt I will ever put wide tires on again. The traction seems to be more secure. Don't know how else to describe it.

Mine are at about 70% tread, I bought them with the wheels and a matching 5th spare wheel for $200.

I apologize for not getting pictures up today, I was busy redoing my rear exhaust mount, rebuilt both removable mud flaps, and installed my front drive shaft. This was in addition to going through a few things on the tent trailer to make sure it's good to go tomorrow.

I hope you like them on your ZJ. I had them on my LWB SJ-413 (Samurai) and hated them both on and off the road. Let's hope your extra ~1500 lbs make them work better.

I've got 33x10.5 BFG ATs on the J20 and both wagoneers. They just look "right" on the older rigs. Good manners on and off road too. All and all, one of the better tires I've owned.

I'd appreciate a pic or two of those mudflaps when you get time to take a few pics.

Something you fabbed up or available elsewhere?

What was your MPG with the 35's?

Much prefer the cookie cutters to fatties.

Ran 34 x 9.50 Swampers on my Suzuki and 33 x 10.50 on my Patrol, now have 33 x 12.50 and don't like the square footprint or how much more you feel them on road. Also found the skinnies worked so much better off road

I went from 33x12.5 to 31x10.5 on my YJ. It made a big difference for the lil 2.5 motor. I'd prefer to run a 235/85/16 which is a 32x9.5. You don't need WIDE as much as you need height. IT all depends on what you're going through though.

:sombrero: Here's some mud flapts that you never notice and don't interfere with anything-

No mud/snow/blood/stop signs will get near the sides of the jeep-
