I have an 2004 chevy 2500 crew cab short box, w a chip, cold air intake, airbags and custom dual cat back excht.

I am looking at a wolfcreek 850, wet weight will prob be around 2500ibs( its 2008ibs dry) I was kinda thinking i like the happyjack system w/ the fast guns but would love to hear your advice. I do offroading, exploring, SAR, MEDIC work all over. I will also be getting a pop up in the future, so this system will be used for it as well.

I was just wondering what you guys recommended, what you are running on your rigs. what works and what does not! thanks

My Phoenix pop-up camper from Coyote RV came with heavy duty tie down straps (ratcheting kind like truckers use) and are attached to eye bolts mounter thru the truck bed floor and camper side overhang. ATC and FWC pop-up campers use eye bolts and metal turnbuckles.

I don't know which system is best but in theory the ratcheting straps should provide some give on rough roads.

Thanks im going to go with the happy jack and quick guns. For price, its not a heavy camper, and when it gets a flatbed ill have to fab something up anyway.

Some sort of lost...
I used torklift frame mounted tie downs and fast guns and really liked the setup. Everything was good and solid, no drilling, no mounting to bumpers, etc. I would definitely recommend them.
