Timbren 3500HD- If you buy Dexter Brake Hubs with your Timbrens they will not carry a warranty!!

My Dexter pre greased hub 8-201 blew apart and my wheel and half he hub flew off at 65 mph on I 15 in traffic. Luck it missed a family in minivan going opposite direction.

DEXTER DENYED WARRANTY BECAUSE THE HUB WAS INSTALLED ON A NON DEXTER AXEL.

BUYER BEWARE!!

Then why do they sell the hubs on etrailer and even from timbren without mentioned of " must be used with dexter axel" a spindle is a spindle

Timbren yes but seek another hub set. Plenty non Dexter's out there

Great question for Dexter. Although etrailer is a reseller, Dexter may not have full influence on how they advertise products.

Just to be clear. No fault of Timbrens. It does not look like the sell Dexter hubs on thier website. But etrailer and others do with no warning

That's a scary one! This is the kind of post that is really useful. The problems are usually more educational than the cool camping photos. We're having a problem with Victron warranty service right now. Depending on how it works out, I may be doing a "bad/costly experience with Victron" post. At least mine wouldn't be life threatening!

Is the Timbren Spindle an EZ-Lube spindle? If they are hearing “no lubrication” and it wasn’t on a spindle designed for it, then using the EZ lube center cap doesn’t lube anything. They are probably saying no warranty for lack of lubrication when it sounds like you are saying it was sold as “pre-greased no lubrication needed” and doesn’t appear to have been greased - a manufacturing or assembly defect.
