does anyone know if there is an instructional video or list of instructions on how to do a timing belt swap as well as all the components included in a timing belt kit(water pump, tensioner, etc.)???

So I went with beck/arnley for my timing belt kit and from what I've recently heard I should be worried on it not lasting long. But they said it was the tensioner that will crap out and nothing else. Should I keep the whole kit and just switch to a Mitsubishi tensioner?? Or should I even worry. I know it's an interference engine and that's what makes me so dang paranoid

Belt, Tensioner(s) & water pump. - OEM.... your concern answered your own question....

I'm Getting Around To It
I used a kit on my '95 but added a complete (both halves) Aisin water pump and an OEM tensioner. I gave away the kit's pump and tensioner to a guy that put his back together and sold it.

The sticky is for Gen 2.5 single cam 3.5 liter engine. Make sure you get the right one for you since your signature says 96 Sr yours should be a dual cam which needs a different timing belt kit.

Thanks for the help guys! I think I'll stop by a dealership and pick up an OEM tensioner and a crank bolt while I'm there. I'm not worried about the water pump as much but the tensioner for sure. The belt looks and feels strong so I'm not worried about it either. Thanks PacS14 for the tip as well!

I had it happen (non-oem water pump bearing seize @ about 30k miles from records) in my old '92 3.0l from a previous owners non-OEM timing belt kit refresh. Luckily the '92 3.0l is not an interference engine, so only left me stranded several hundred miles from home. $400 tow bill later.... I had an exciting 25 degree F outside weekend doing it right.

I had my mechanic do my timing belt job, he went with Gates. Now I keep reading about how never to use non-oem tensioners/water pump. Should I be concerned enough to have it redone with OEM? I've got 7k miles on it now and runs great.
