they dont come with jacks or anything to change tires with, liability issue, even tho all the attach points are in the truck for tools. I just have a bottle jack and always carry wood blocks, there is a thread on here about removing the lugs, they can be hard to remove if they are torqued down at an incorrect setting or with a gun, do you have a spare tire?
For the lugs I use a 4 foot breaker bar and a piece of pipe 4 feet long to slide over it.
And always make sure whoever takes the wheels off uses a torque wrench with the proper setting, they will want to set it at 500 ft/pds or more, and should be if I remember right around 360 ft/pds, even a dealer will want to over torque them.
Are you building onto that truck? Any plans?

Hi: I have a bigfoot trailer on it like what Carl Hunter put on his Fuso. Actually, the same company that integrated the two for Carl did my conversion. A 2006 fuso with a 2003 bigfoot. How high does your bottle jack go? What maximum weight is it rated for?

Its a 6 ton jack and has about 8" lift. I also carry a jack stand.
Sounds like a nice set up you have, Big Foots are a sturdy camper, any pictures of it?

Here is a picture of the rig after it was converted. i wanted to try it out on a 4x4 road and we camped for a few days. i will put my klr650 on the back of it,racks on top for the kayaks and canoe and truck boxes on the sides for storage. one wheel well will be converted to store a bbq and the other already holds the propane tanks that were in the hitch that has been cut off.

That looks great! Looks like about a 13 foot bigfoot? I dont see a flat deck, how is it mounted onto the truck? I was looking at something like that before I built mine, good proven concept.

I use an 8 ton bottle jack with a piece 2'X12" to provide a wider base for the jack. Worked well when I had to change a tire on my FUSO FG - Casita combo in the middle a pasture.

When I got my 2010 FG it came with some basic tools (crappy as they were). This included a small 2880 Kg bottle jack in the tool box.
Not brilliant I know, but at least it did come with one.

All I got was a box of emergency reflectors. Those triangle shaped things - No tools

In North America they don't provide any tools, if they did they could be held liable for expecting you to change your tire yourself other that having a professional service do it, and if you hurt yourself while changing said tire they think they can get sued, or probably already got sued, so we now don't get tools , jack, nothing!

Oh yeah! except the nice storage straps all over the back of the cab for those items....:(

Snap On 4 to 1 Torque Multiplier

I run a 2004 FG and I carry an 8 ton bottle jack and wood blocks like many others, but for the lugs I rely on a Snap On 4 to 1 torque multiplier.
Compact tool, and if you happen to be looking on Ebay at the right time, they can be had for reasonable money.
And, whatever you do, do not waste your time buying one of those blue lug wrenches w/ breaker bar that you see advertised. Absolutely worthless.

Separate topics: Jacks and lug nuts

jack: I have an Fm260, which is 'a bit' heavier than the FG, and I have 42" tires on mine. I carry 8-ton and 6-ton long-throw bottle jacks, with plywood pads ~1.5'x2.0' in size. I have not had a flat or a blown tire, but I have twice decided to simulate/test a tire change in the boonies, and both jacks do the job very well.

lug nuts: I carry a 5', thick-wall, tempered steel tube to slip over my manual 3/4" 'breaker bar'. this allows me easily to loosen the nuts and then remove them with a 1/2" air impact wrench.Reverse when reinstalling them. I try to duplicate the effort removing the nuts with the long bar when reinstalling them - and then go to the next tire shop to check my torque with their equipment.

My lug nuts call for 450 #/ft. I don't know about the FGs.
