Tire size recommendation for 2WD Duallie E350 RV

What size tire do you recommend for a 2WD E350 Duallie RV (10k lbs) that will see a Action Van lift kit (4.5")?
Use would be forest/dirt/back woods roads that can get muddy/gravely/potted or short mudholes but no "mudding", will see snow, rarely beaches), no true 4 wheeling.....Rear Locker may be in future.

Option sizes:
Stock - 225/75/16 (29.3" tall; 8.9" width)
Action recommendation - 235/85/16 (31.7" tall; 9.2" width) won't fit without lift lit
Other - 215/85/16 (30.4"tall; 8.5" wide)

Would narrow tire help in mud/snow/sand or just air down and not too worry? I believe bigger side wall will give more protection off payment and to air down, is this correct?

Thanks

If you're doing the lift I would go with the 235/85-16. That should give you plenty of options in tires. I've become a big fan of the Falken Wildpeak AT3w and it's made in that size. I also think the Dynapro ATM would be a good choice, though I found they tended to ball up in deeper mud and did not clean out quickly.

Thanks, I'll look at Falken but was thinking DuraTrac or KO2.
