Please note - as of June 1, we will be increasing the price of both the XL & the SOLO.

Why? Terrapod has been hit with price increases across the board. From nuts and bolts to raw materials, everything has gone up in price. As a result, we must increase pricing for our handcrafted RTTx XL & RTTx SOLO tents.

The good news - production pace has been ramping up nicely. We are now easily at 3 units per week and gaining momentum.
Terrapod Santa: The next Terrapod Santa run is coming up at the end of the week. We will make an announcement on his delivery path.

Thank you for the continued support. We appreciate all the business to date and are working hard to provide the best quality, USA made vehicle tents out there.

No. Any orders accepted before June 1st, will be at the current price. After June 1st, any orders received will be for the new pricing.
So...simply put - If you want an RTTx XL or SOLO, place your orders in now.

Finally got to play with one over the weekend. @JackW wasn't kidding; it's just so engineered that it makes other RTTs look privative.
@Skeptic brought it along even though he and Elaine stayed in his trailer and Tom/Evan stayed in their truck tent thingie. Thanks for the tent tour, Kos.

Terrapod Production Update 06/10/21:

Kickstarter / Production run 001:

We have reached a point of finishing the first round of production. All the Kickstarter Orders will be fulfilled by the end of June. The final 8 units are currently in production and we are preparing a big run to the West Coast for all the remaining tents. Oh yes...Terrapod Santa will be on the way, soon.

Production Run 002: - Status:

Production round 2 is slated to start in mid-July. After a period of delay, our next delivery of composite panels is also scheduled to be delivered by Mid-July. This situation is completely out of our control as our supplier has been dealing with major delays in raw materials. As such, we have also been dealing with random delays in obtaining even the simplest of items. The random delays have compounded and produced days when production sat at a standstill until the materials arrived.

The good news: this appears to be gradually getting better.

Today -> Moving Foward:

Through out production, we have been adding slight improvements to the fabric and overall construction. Terrapod will always continue to push for constant product improvement in order to make the RTTx and SOLO tents, even better.

More products: We certainly see more product ideas for vehicle storage, tent accessories, etc. Look for more exciting things to come.
Events / Shows: To date, we are planning to be a part of Overland Expo East in October. We would also like to plan for an RTTx Owners Rally as well (Stay tuned).

In the meantime, A hardy thank you to all of our customers who have been a part of our adventure. We have enjoyed meeting you and learning more about your many wonderful adventures. Thank you for allowing Terrapod to be a part of them.

One last item: Existing customers who have received their tents. Please post your feedback here. Many have been following the forum threads. Your feedback (good or not-so-much) would be appreciated. Not only will it help folks understand the RTTx, it will also help us make it even better. Thx!

I was glamping this past weekend with the travel trailer but lots of people asked about the roof tent so I set it up for the tour of trailers day where everybody checks out your modifications.
It was very popular since most of the folks had never seen one up close.

Our startup Production has been a HUGE SUCCESS!!

We would like to extend a GIANT THANK YOU to all of our new Terrapod family members / customers. Without you and your support, Terrapod would not be where we are today. All of you have been fantastic. Each and every one. And...we appreciate your business and your enthusiasm for our products.

Now for the great news...

We have received our supply shipment of composite panels and our second production for 2021 is advancing forward. Kos has already started reaching out to those customers at the start of the production queue. PLEASE BE SURE TO RESPOND PROMPTLY OR WE WILL BE FORCED TO MOVE ONTO THE NEXT CUSTOMER.

If you are contacted, your tent is now in the production queue and is being assembled. Now is the time to firm up your order. Once production begins, we cannot make any assembly related changes.

It's a German Eriba Puck, a 12' long camping trailer that weighs around 1000 lbs and was designed to be towed by Volkswagens. I imported it from the UK early last year.

Terrapod Update: 08/19/21

Howdy folks. A big, hearty THANK YOU goes out to our First Edition customers. You guys have been tremendous. Your enthusiasm and excitement for Terrapod has been fantastic. And...on the days that have been tough, this fact has helped us a ton. So...again, thank you!

Production Status:

Production has restarted and we have the first few underway. While we were scheduled to get things going a couple weeks ago, some supply chain delays which, in turn have caused some startup delays. But...we see the light and we should be up to full speed in about a week.

For those new customers - trust me, we want you to get your tents. We love our growing Terrapod family and truly look forward to delivering tents to each of you.

Kos is reaching out to those who are next in line. He will be confirming orders and getting everything ready to go. Please be sure to connect with him.

Lastly - we will have an exciting announcement for our West Coast Customers very soon. Stay tuned.
