I got all five 33x 12.5 duatrac's on my TJ in the summer when I was up in VA for $965 mounted and balanced and they've been great in mud, dirt, and street use. They dont make alot of noise on pavement either.

Had alot of experience with the Coopers in Australia and found them to be GREAT tires. Tough tires too...

THat said, the Wrangler Dura-Tracs look to be a GREAT all-around tire IMO. Kind of like the Maxxis Bighorn's. Very capable but NOT terrible on road manners (the Coopers def. HUM quite alot from my recolection... Course my DD over there was a 70-Series Ute with 36/9.5" NDT "ranch tires" so "HUM" is a relative term eh ;) )

I'd also consider looking into a skinnier tire then a 12.5 personaly, but you do have a big truck there so maybe more "float" is what you need...

all that said, I voted for Bacon...couldn't help myself, I just LOVE bacon. If I could vote again, I'd vote for the Wrangler's but then I don't exactly know what your intended uses's are for the truck and tires eh. Trail toy: Go Coopers, All Arounder: GO Wranglers.

Cheers

 interesting, wonder if there are any differences in construction now versus an older version or from a different market cause we ran them on ALOT of different trucks out in the bush where "sticking" the tires was an every day concern and the Coopers faired really well. I gotta say though, My BFG AT's are tough as anything I've ever used and I've abused them. Might want to think about the BFG KM2's if you want a mud tire eh. They're brilliant and quite amazing in the slippery stuff when siped well.

These are the best tires you can buy if you want a hybrid tire that is good in sand, snow, mud and wet rock/clay yet still has road manners like an all season tire.

They wear very well (60-70,000km's on our first set) and are extremely durable and flex well.

They are very quiet on pavement and stay that way through it's lifecycle.

I am running 285/75/16's on the Nissan Patrol and 31x10.5/15's on the XJ.

I've had both Cooper's SST/ST and they don't hold a candle to the Duratrac's when you compare them on all types of terrain.

People have been slamming the Duratrac's since they've come out thinking they will suck in deep stuff or are too soft or will wear quickly. All of those comments on all the forums are wrong.

After running BFG A/T's, BFG KM2's, MTR Kevlar, Bighorns and Coopers, the Duratrac's are the top tire for me when it comes to 'all' road/offroad conditions.

After running both (285/70R-17) on my JK my vote is for the Duratrac's. The Cooper STT's were great but seemed to be a little scary in the slick stuff (rain, snow). As far as the Duratrac's go, the sidewall is a little soft, so cornering and wandering (flighty) may be an issue (2-ply sidewall on mine). Although, I've never ran a better tire in all types of terrain (no rock gardens yet), the Duratrac's get my vote over everything I've ran (including also BFG KO AT, Mastercraft Courser MT, GY SRA's, GY Silent Armor, Bridgestone Revo's).

thank you jfarsang for your input, I personally really appreciate comments like this since I'm actually looking almost all the tires you've listed off but I just haven't heard any feedback about them
