Well, do you need the 33's? If not, go with 32's. Better MPG and less strain for the drivetrain.

I would do a 1" body lift, and then when you wear out your 285s you can take off the body lift and get 275s. That's what I would do, unless you are sure you can recover the money spent on the BFGs you bought. My 1" body lift from 4crawler was like 120 bucks shipped and it's awesome.
How did/do you like those TreadWright BFG-type ATs??? After having tested a set of TreadWright AT-D all-terrains in 265/75R16 and then their D-Muds in 285/75R16, I have been wanting to try a set of their new BFG AT tread retreads.
The problem for me is that they don't offer my size (255/85) so it's either a smaller 265/75R16 which I don't care to run for any length of time or the ‘too wide for me’ 285/75R16. As a ‘tire junkie’ I would really like to get some saddle time with the much loved BFG AT and this would be one way to do it relatively inexpensively.
Please give some feedback, positive or negative. Did they balance well? Feel and drive the same as any other BFG ATs you have owned?
They are truely amazing, just as good as if they where new. They balanced just fine. They are on actual BFG A/T casings, not misc casings. They are very picky about there casings too. I gave them a thorough look over and they had no sidewall damage inside or out and have never had a patch. I would gladly buy from them again.
Plus, I got these back in Decemeber or late Novemember, can't remember. Anyways, they said shipping was going to be 2-4 weeks due to the holidays. I recieved them 4 days after placing my order.
I payed a little over $450 for all 4 of them. New BFG A/T in the same size new would have been $800+.
IIRC, Treadwright uses their own compound on the BFG casings, and their own tread pattern, not BFG's.
