I just got back from a week of camping in Moab with the family in the TJ using a borrowed M416. I travel light, but the wife and kids need their pillows and blankets and lots of clothes etc... The trailer was barely big enough for everything, so I guarentee a hitch rack wouldn't work. Also the trailer is very quick to drop off at camp and run errands to town without it, rather than having to unload a cargo rack.
