I dislike
-Lack of ability to add in aftermarket radios easily
-Cost of replacement keys. Absurd
-Range
I love:
-Reliability of the 4.4
-Comfort & ability to eat up miles for long haul travel
-Interior space, particularly the modularity of the seats/fold flat ability

If you didn't get BT, ipod, etc from the start it is a PITA/$$$ to retrofit-Cost of replacement keys. Absurd

3. Good sound from the HSE sound system

3. Jag V8 motor... which you can’t get in anything new short of a RR Autobiography
Dislikes:
1. Front A-arm wear-out. Twice.
2. Differentials are weak, bearings can’t be changed (or couldn’t)
3. Dashboard cracks around passenger airbag and elsewhere
Don’t understand the issues with bluetooth. Adding a cheap ($10) bluetooth receiver and a USB power port adapter (<$10) are all it takes to set up your LR3 with usable, high quality listen-only bluetooth using the aux input to the radio. Built in ‘hands free’ bluetooth doesn’t play music and has lousy sound quality for whomever you’re talking to on the phone with lots of road noise.

Still, the best combination of refinement and ruggedness for on and offroad travel...:smiley_drive:

Check out the Blackberry Bluetooth Stereo Gateway...sort of old/obsolete now, but you can pick them up on eBay or similar for cheap. I added bluetooth to the LR3 (and lots of other cars) using this...ran a 3.5mm jack from the audio port on the backside of the center console as well as power, and put it all right under the armrest. Bingo - you've got bluetooth for music/etc.

I tried something like that but hated the volume reduction through the aux port. I'm happy with the Kenwood KOS-1000 setup but it was a PITA to install.
My complaint was more based off the need for either ad hoc fixes or OE installs-whereas, for example, Coyote has integrated BT, ipod, etc all in a single DIN unit (Kenwood) that was easy as pie to install.
BTW, love the vents!

2. no gear options for those running more tire (currently on 33s)
3. sheer weight (this results in broken parts, poor range/mileage, etc)
When asked about the D3, I generally tell people it's really good off-road 'up to a point'. Try to push beyond what it's comfortable doing and you'll quickly find out it's just not worth it. It's a good 'overlanding' platform but not so good for more serious technical work. Mine currently gets used for the easy/long trips like Death Valley or Mojave Rd and the D1 takes over for the shorter but more challenging trips like the Rubicon.

You should look at the NAVTV kits. They hook up in line with the MOST network and I think on the LR3 you can add a soft key on the nav screen for aux audio. Then just add a $20 Bluetooth to RCS adapter. I did it in my wife's Range Rover and it works perfectly. The sound quality is probably better than the headphone jack input.
You should start a thread about how EE or Discoweb hurt your feelings.
How so? Pretty sure you just get a warning light and a notice in the message display area. Did you have other symptoms?
That is a totally different motor. The only similarity is that it is made by Jag and is a V8.
Weak as in catastrophic failure or weak as in bearing wear out early? I'm just curious if people are seeing diff failures off road or if you are just talking about the noise from diffs.
