Top of Breckenridge, CO. Peak #10

After getting the New FunTreks book, and seeing a trail that ran up to the top of Peak 10 at Breckenridge, I decided it would be a great excuse to get out of the 100 degree temps here in Denver. Super fun trail, not too hard (until the top) but very scenic!

Nice area, I stayed there (Breckenridge) for a week several years ago. It's amazing how the peaks just keep on going & going. I miss the Colorado mountains....

Snow

Looks like much of the snow is going, going, gone. I'll be out there the 1st week of August. (thanks for wetting an already wet appetite) Are the passes pretty well open by now? I'll be basing out of Avon and plan on doing a few high passes intermixed with forced family fun when traveling with small children.

I used to live in Keystone (ten miles from Breck) and I loved that trail.

You also need to do wheeler lake if you had not already had the chance.

Did yall make it to the top?

I have gone all the way to the top, and hiked to the tip top. My friend, a hiker, was annoyed that I signed the log bok since I drove up there... haha
