Topper vs. Pack Rack???

It would be easy enough to build an exoskeleton style rack to go over a shell if you were worried about the weight; just tie it into your sliders and your read bumper. There is a member here who has/had a super nice looking setup but I can't remember his name at the moment to search for it. Maybe someone else can help out with that thread where he posted pictures.

I'll have to try to find it. I'm leaning towards a topper and a lo-pro rtt

I have both a canopy (topper) and a RTT. The GF wont sleep in the bed of the truck as she feels claustrophobic due to the my drawer system. The fold over RTTs are a PITA to put up and take down, you get filthy. If you buy a RTT get the low profile pop up kind. I prefer a sleeping in the bed on top of the drawer system and thats what I do when she dont go.

Just one example of what you could do. I've been thinking about doing a simpler version that was removable but it's not high on my list of priorities.
