Tow Points on the Chevy AWD

I have a Chevy AWD van and want to know where you guys are putting your tow hooks at.

I plan to put a winch bumper and winch on it eventually, but for now I won't go into the back country until I have a recovery point in the front.

I can use the tow hitch for the back recovery point for now.

Meh, I wouldn't let that stop me. Just be the first in line so someone can drag you back if you get stuck. Whereabouts are you planning on exploring?

Well, locally I'd do places along the forestry trunk road and the BC interior, but later I'll be doing Death Valley and other back country stuff in the SW states.

I won't go off road without front and back tow points. I have seen the aftermath of too many people that do that and get stuck.

I have a winch on a cradle already.

A front hitch will make my already minimal approach angle even smaller.

I don't think that is my solution.

I was thinking standard tow hooks bolted to the underside of the frame horns. There are a couple of holes there that might do the trick. I haven't had a chance to crawl under and measure yet.
