Ok everyone Im still a bit new here so I apologize if this is in the wrong section or if it has been discussed before.
Ive tried doing a little research on this and seem to be getting mixed results.
I have a 1988 Toyota with a 3.0V6 3VZE in it and a 1997 Tacoma with the 3.4V6 5VZE engines. I just want to know if either one or both of them are interference engines, meaning if the timing belt were to break would the pistons come up and slap the valves causing major engine damage?
My tacoma has a new timing belt on it but with just purchasing the 1988, I dont have a clue when the timing belt was done.
