Toyota guys think it's sacrilege.

So I went from this:

I really loved the 100 series but the Ram fits my needs much better. More room, roof top tent moved below the cab, gets better hwy mpg with a faster average speed, solid front axle, and the list goes on. We were considering building a trailer but I like the idea of having everything we need on one platform

I considered a Tundra but the payload just wasn't there. I miss my hundy but with a family of five we really had to be efficient in our packing for a weekend jaunt. Now I grab whatever I want and throw it in the bed.

Specs:
2016 Ram 2500 tradesman
6.4 Hemi
4.10 rear end with limited slip

Upgrades so far:
Method NV wheels 18x8
Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX 295/70 18

Drive the vehicle that meets your wants/needs,have fun with it.
I put a filter on mine,"CAB FRESH FILTER KIT."
I wish I could have stock 4.10's.

How does the stock suspension treat you off road?

It's not bad for a 3/4 ton, definitely stiff, and not as compliant as the land cruiser was, but when you can carry of 3100lbs of payload what do you expect. I plan to add some Bilstein 5100's, should help some and lowering the tire pressure of course always helps.

And that's really all there is to it! If the new truck works better for you then great, if eventually you find your needs changing again change the truck to match the new needs.

I think its sacrilege that you waited so long. ha ha ha! Just kidding. I am being drawn in by that damn TRD pro Tacoma like a moth to a flame. I love my jeep and will never be without a wrangler unlimited, but I may liquidate everything else and get that TRD PRO.

I went from a 100 to an F150. The LC was already getting tight with two kids and gear. Third kid, we'd need a trailer. F150 has more cargo capacity, rear seats bigger, more gas efficient, tows more/better, and list goes on. Tundra wasn't really even a consideration. Rams were though and almost bought one. Have fun with it.

What are the specs on your F-150?

sweet dodge! I recently made the change from a 3rd gen 4runner to a 2011 silverado...loved the yota and the manual gear box, I do miss it and its ability to go anywhere but with 2 more cylinders under the hood in the chevy i get much better gas milage and i have twice the cargo space! like your truck and your old hundy looks like something to be desired! enjoy the domestic truck life!
