Toyota: Tacoma, Truck, 4Runner Stuck!!!!

Save the taco

"This day started out with a rescue mission. There was a Toyota Tacoma with 5 inches of lift (or 9 inches depending on who the borrower was talking to) on 35 inch tires that had become swamped after trying to cross Dry River (Dry Run on the maps). The water level was high from a lot of rain so it spun him around and washed him about 40 feet down river where he got wedged against the tree. The sad thing was that he had borrowed the truck from his brother who still did not know about his adventure. A few days after the rescue, it was reported that the truck had the wheels and tires stolen while it sat on the side of Route 33."

Crossing the Hassayampa River in AZ. Prior to this picture being taken, I sun in a hole with soft sand. The alternator was submerged, and the engine began to run very rough. I was able to back out of the hole, but couldn't get over the berm on the bank. Winched it out, alternator dried off, and she ran perfectly.

Grass filled the ditch, didn't realize just how deep it was until it was too late...

At least your gun stayed dry. Isn't the open carry law here fun. I love the looks I get when I stroll into WalMart.:gunt:

being from Canada we don't have that luxury, all though at times I wish we did. Our gun laws are very strict with pistols and most rifles too. If I carried a gun in my truck the police would shoot me. I do have 2 guns though. One rifle (Chinese SKS) for urban warfare and a 45. S&W 1911 tactical rail series for strangers that enter my house:)

Wow open carry? I've never heard of such a thing. We have to hide ours here in FL.

I love open carry laws! And yes, the gun stayed quite dry (though being a Glock I didn't really care either way :shakin: ) I usually carry concealed, but out in the desert, screw it. I'm not too worried about the rattle snakes seeing it, and the ranchers don't give a crap. I MISS AZ!!!:(

My G19 is usally tucked away as well. But, if we are out and about in the desert its usally on me or for the late nite sick kid runs to walmart :) My Glock has taken a beating and never lets me down. round after round and not a miss.

Excellent pics and video! That is one of our favorite areas to go. Although we've not been out after that much rain or have seen Dry that high and fast. Nice seeing pics of places I've been...thanks

It's the forest road up to Butler Peak in Big Bear, CA.
Looked like fun, I knew it was somewhere in the sierra's. I was living in Upland for about 6 months and never got to check out Big Bear,
heard there is some fun wheelin there plus forest fair run or something like that.
