Trailer Brake Controller Install

I need some advice on a trailer brake controller. I believe that I would be best served by a proportional/ inertial controller. From what I understand these apply matching pressure on the trailer brakes so that the trailer more or less slows down at the same rate as the vehicle making for safer, more controlled stops.

I don't know anything about Tekonsha controllers, but from what I've read so far these appear to be rather easy to install, don't require calibration, and provide the benefits I've listed above.

Anyone have any experience with these? I know this one costs more than some other models, but I think I'd like the diagnostic and safety info the digital display provides.

Any tips or advice on which controller I should get?

I appreciate any feedback.

Many thanks,

Tony

I run the Odyssey and it works great...many good ones out there. The inertail type are what you want for sure.

Thanks, Brad, for the quick feedback. I know you've got some experience towing that beast all over the place.

Sorry folks for the double post...I should've done a better job searching before posting.
