Trailer Flavored Kool Aid

snip....

I have a couple ideas on how to adapt the hand brake linkage but if anyone has pictures of how they dealt with the cable retainers that hold the cable "ends" to the frame that would be great.

From another forum entirely, perhaps he can help you with a whole new, longer cable?

Yes, LCR (Lo Cash Racing) can make custom length E-brake and clutch cables. Traditonally we have offered these to builders of short wheel base buggies and 356 Speedster builders. For these shorter cars we also offer a shortened front-rear steel brake line with the proper ISO bubble flare ends.

We can be reached at Products@LoCashRacing.Org or if you want to call you can hit my cell phone at 904-412-7887.

LCR is not a full time shop (yet!) but we stand by everything we sell.

looking good so far... the trailer dosnt look that far off as to being level and in fact may help with keepin the weight forward just a bit.. but a real easy fix would be an adjustable mounting plate for your hook

i am not familiar with the cable routing on your 416 , but i can tell you what i did on my m101a im sorry but i have no pics at this time.. but.. underneath the trailer, my cable was attached at one end of the pulling end of the brake line to a rectangular plate where the cable then split to go to both wheels ... instead of finding longer cables, i just made a new plate that was just a little longer so the cables would reach.. it was really quite easy . i hope i explained it ok.. ... i could go take a picture if you need one then again your trailer might be different than mine , just tryin to help...
