That's a clean setup. That plate from AT would save me some time, but can't seem to find it on thier site.

May I ask, where are you guys finding these trailers? I've been keeping an eye out on Craigslist, but that is not yielding any positive results.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Craigslist, Ebay and Government Liquidations auctions also check on Steelsoldiers.com
But don't tell them you want to Expo it.

Can the max coupler be ran all the time? Or do I need to build a reciever setup on the trailer to change out hitches?.

Yes and yes. I run mine 100% of the time on my expo trailer. The design is superior to a ball in every way especially when it comes to upward thrust forces. The design of the Max coupler requires a 2" receiver on the trailer tonge also.

Thank you toymaster for the info. I knew in my mind it needed a 2" reciever on the trailer side, but I didn't type it. A by product of getting old. It a nice security option when leaving the trailer behind too.

I went by a trailer place and picked up 5/4.5 hubs cause I read this could be done. This will not work. The a typical hollow full floater spindle is to big for a normal 1 3/8-1 1/16 trailer bearings.

Are these the right springs for a BT3-C

This shouldn't make extending the tongue to hard at all. But I wanted to add a box on the front for battery's and maybe a future water pump. This will complicate the simple extention to almost 4' to clear my tire swing. That means a new a-frame tongue. Decisions

Edit: forgot picture

Why wouldn't they want you to expo it? What should I tell them I'm planning to use it for?

I think he is suggesting steelsoldiers members don't want to see them modified and hacked up. They are more resto-oriented. IDK that, but I assume that is what he is saying.

Picked up some steel for the tongue yesterday. The max coupler arrived also, and the kodiak tent. No work will be done today. I'm taking a few newbies up a local trail. Hopefully I can work on it tomorrow before I head back to work.
