Hi all,

basically im after a few pictures and details on trailers made using land rover rear tubs? i know they arnt very common and i may not get much luck but ive seen a few around on the net etc and figured some people may know of a few on here

im currently rebuilding a series 3 and i have a spare rear tub and had the idea of using it as a trailer, it will mainly be for camping etc so nothing too fancy, this project is a long way off and will be attempted after my landy is done so just looking for a few pics for inspiration and ideas ,

also im new to the forum so nice to meet you all and great motors and trailers you have :)

Thanks Jord

Someone has built a trailer from a Rover tub and posted on it on here within the past year.

Thanks for the help guys, think im definately going to give it a go once the landy is done,

Michael Slade has a very well crafted on too, pics in the trailer build thread:
http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=761336&postcount=18

that is great example thnks for the linik mate, that is very much what im thinking of with mine but im unsure as to keep the original chassis and cut it down and weld a trailer front as mr slde has done, or just keep the rearcross member and build a custom frame making it lighter,

either way i intendto use land rover leaf springs, and make a custom axle with land rover hubs so it matches the vechile and i only need to carry one type of spare :wings:,

i also intend to use land rover van sides and roof to make a lockable secure large trailer but be bale to take them off and use as an open trailer or use the just the roof and a tailgate to keep it smaller but still secure :victory:
