How would one go about connecting a FWC that is mounted on a trailer to the tow vehicle's hitch wiring plug? To at least power the runnzing lights if not also charge the battery?

On most FWC's, the "white" wire coming out of the front would be the positive +

The black wire coming out of the front will be the negative -

Thanks Stan. Do you know, if the trolling motor plug coming from the FWC is a two or three wire plug? I would like to rig up some kind of extension so I could plug the cable coming from the FWC into a four wire flat receptical on the bumper of my truck.

Running from Monday..
Ours, at least, was a 3 wire plug. One lead for the ground, the other for 12v+ charge line and the third a 12v+ for the running lights.
