Trailering a Teardrop with 2013 JKU

I'm considering purchasing a teardrop or AT Horizon trailer within the next year or so. I have a 2013 Jeep JKUR with the stock engine, 4:11 and 35" tires. I know I can stay within the tow ratings of the Jeep, but I'm more concerned with how much it will affect highway driving. The pentastar engines aren't bad, but even without a trailer, cruising at highway speeds in the hills is a bit annoying with the incessant downshifting. Anyone have any real world experience with a similar setup pulling a trailer? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

We have numerous owners who tow with JK's without issues. If downshifting on hills is currently an issue it won't get any better towing. Your gearing is good for 35's but maybe on the low end for towing if you are already downshifting on hills. Have a look at the chart below.

David, will do. I'm probably the person who knows the least about gear selection at AT. Clint and Mario are the experts, I just like colorful charts :)

I'll send details and we'll get you all the information you need.
