Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I really wanna replace the topper front window with one that can open too. Mainly if I ever needed to go from bed to cab. Yes I'm skinny enough to make the climb lol.

I think I'm going to try and remove the glass from the frame and replace it with two 15" pieces that leave an opening in the middle. An actual slider isn't really needed. I'll seal the gap around the sliding section of the cab window. I really want the exhaust fan on the topper to also cool the truck when it's hot out. I need to pull the clamps to to do this and I'm looking to redesign my my bed layout so it's a good time to rethink the mounting setup. Direct bolting might clean things up a bit.

A few updates..

Before it started getting hot this year, I decided to tear out all the Reflectix and install 1" foam.

I also decided to try a new layout. Basically, ditching the modular bed idea and going for more open floor space. I'm not sure how it'll work out yet. Mostly, I lose a fair bit of storage that I'm trying to replace.

I decided I need a little more control over the vent fan so here's a digital thermostat.

Had to make up a mounting bracket from some scrap aluminum.

Installed a B&M 70264 Transmission cooler. I am impressed with this..

My transmission temp would usually always hover around 175-180 with around town driving. I haven't seen it over 160 since installing earlier this week.

Broke out the Sawzall... Here's a sneak peak.

Nice updates. Love the switch you found but I'm out of space to use one like that. Know of any switches that fit the square blanks??

I bypass the factory trans cooler in the radiator but no way of checking temp on my 04. I don't think they had a way for any obd devices to read it.

http://www.ch4x4.com/product-category/push-series/ for push button square switches.

and

https://otrattw.net/Contura-V-SR/ the Contura V rocker style should fit.

It is possible for the Scangauge II to read trans temp with xgauge codes. I was able to use the one listed on the scangauge site. For an 04, if you have a scangauge, you can try this thread.

Did your tuck not come with the factory tow package? Mine (limited DC) has a trans cooler there already...although its smaller than the one you have.

These have been confirm to fit ? I know most of those switches are for the newer Toyota's and wasn't sure if it would fit older ones like the 1st gen tundra

Link went to 15k service? I have an ultra gauge but I think I'm gonna sell it and get a scan gauge as they seem to be better for trans temp reading.

Should be this link here:

Where were you looking to put the square switches? The only other blank I can think of is the security sensor one. I can double check, but I think I may have had to file that a bit for a standard rocker.
