Transporting Oztent

I’m really liking the look and quick setup time of the oztent RV series. The issue I have is my truck bed is only 5.5 feet or 66 inches. The packed size of the RV tent is 84”. Anyone else have this issue? If so, how do you transport the tent.

I suspect it would go in crosswise in the truck bed, but this takes up a lot of space. I have a roll up cover on the truck bed. How do you transport your tent? I could try a rack system on the bed, but they don’t play nice with the roll up cover.

I have seen PUs with a side rack originally for a ladder (mount either side of PU) so it is not a complete rack over the bed, might try that. I have a full Front Runner rack on my LR so not an issue for me as it fits exactly. You might even have to have something made just for your truck.

I stopped looking at these when I saw their packed size. I don't want to carry stuff on my roof.
