Very nice build.

You have mentioned the Campa trailers in some posts, anything further on them? They seem awesome.

The trailer is ordered. I was hoping to get it for the end of June, but they're looking into a Canadian VIN & specs, which is slowing things down. I'm trying to convince them that all I need is an invoice and "recall clearance letter" (see http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html for more info), so we'll see how that goes. :)

I'm paying a little more to modify the axle/fenders to fit 285/75R16s. I tried to get the trailer with 315/75R16s, but that tire's just too wide...

Please be sure to post up pics and details when you receive it. Very keen to hear about your experience especially from a Canadian standpoint.

I've started to deal with Chris Cole, the president of Campa USA. He knows what's needed to import the trailer into Canada -- side-markers on the trailer, international VIN number, recall clearance letter, temporary tags, certificate of origin, etc., etc. He's been very helpful and I expect a smooth transaction. The following list from RIV breaks it down pretty well: http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html

The exchange rate is now 1.08, which is great considering the cost of this trailer. :) Hopefully it'll drop even further by the time I send my final payment sometime around the end of June. :)

Removed the rollbar padding in the back to make a little more room for some dog kennel boxes. I'll probably paint the rollbars black eventually...

We're moving...

We're moving in about a week and our servers (hosting the pictures in this thread) will be down for a bit as well. The pictures will be back up shortly (fingers crossed) after the move. :)

And in case you're wondering, yes, the new place has a garage! :victory: The Jeep doesn't fit, but at least the new trailer will. :)

The trailer is coming along nicely. We're picking it up in Champlain, NY on July 9th (this Thursday). :smiley_drive: Woohoo! :) Hopefully everything will go well at the border (fingers crossed). The only hickup so far has been insurance. The various insurance companies we've contacted would only insure a properly imported & registered trailer. They don't want to touch it until then. Chris from Campa is taking additional coverage from his insurer to cover us for the first month. This should be plenty of time to get the trailer inspected and registered - after which we can get our own insurance. :) Here's another cell phone pic of the build...
