Really nice! It look remarkably similar to our Leyland DAF in the UK. If they are the same, I spent a lot of time travelling in those things and they are very capable off road.

The Fiberglass "egg" style are a bit better built usually
Yeah, definitely checked that route as well, but man are those tricky to come by (unless perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place?)Could always throw a comm shelter on it.
Yeah, the fine people at SteelSoldiers have been there through my search, and during the resurrection process over this last year+. The TM sources alone are worth their weight in gold. I love this truck so far. Everything is so ridiculously simple to service, diagnose, and understand.These are great machines if you put the time and energy into learning to maintain them ( I am sure you are aware .... all of the M1078 Tech Manuals are available for download at Steel Soldiers)
A carson rebel toy hauler might work. 14' long x 7' wide. Or a nash 15'x7'
I just bought the nash last fall. It's a 2000. I think the build quality is above average.I really like the look of that Nash. How's the build quality? Looks reasonably sturdy from the pic.
