Truck bed tie downs

I just picked up a new 2016 RAM 3500 regular cab 8ft bed.
I carry two 4x4x4 boxes several times a month that weigh 1500 lbs and need a way to fasten them down. The corner pockets and rings are of no use.

Anyone have any suggestions on something that possibly mounts to the bed?
I looked at the core trax but they do not seem to be strong enough.

I saw options of clamping to the side of the bed rails but that seems like a flimsy area to trust to keep 3k pounds from moving in a bad situation.

I can't put anything between the wheel wells or the pallet will not fit. A nice but random spot would be on top of the wheel wells. Also about 2 feet from each end of the truck.

I do not mind drilling holes in the bed. I was originally thinking of a recessed/flush mount hook with a sturdy backing plate.

That kind of weight and bulk I'd just go for big eyebolts in the bed corners, reinforced / mounted below with added horns on the frame rails.
